BRAIN is a research and development project funded by the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security (MASE) under the Mission Innovation Public Call on Critical Raw Materials. The project will develop an innovative process to extract lithium, potassium sulphate (SOP) and boron from the geothermal brines of the Cesano site, located 30 km north of Rome.
